PODCAST: Overcoming Diabetes and other Chronic Diseases Management Challenges at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)

In this episode of the FedHealth Forward podcast series, Chun Yong, CEO of Diasyst, discusses how the VA can best tackle diabetes and other chronic diseases management challenges for Veterans, as well as how the agency can overcome “clinical inertia” for providing the best quality of care.

With diabetes and other chronic diseases in the Veteran population being a serious challenge, there is an inherent need for solutions that help the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to address these serious health risks.

In 2020, DSS, Inc. announced a strategic partnership with Diasyst, a provider of the best of breed technologies to empower health care organizations to monitor and manage chronically ill patients, to effectively meet this care need at the VA. In 2021, DSS, Inc. announced that it was awarded a contract for the implementation of Diasyst at Pittsburgh VA Medical Center.

Coming from decades of clinical research from Emory University/Healthcare and the Atlanta VA Medical Center, Diasyst specializes in developing tools that reduce “clinical inertia” and translate modern approaches to chronic disease management.
