The Department of Veterans Affairs Renews Contract for Mental Health Suite from DSS, Inc.

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) provides specialty inpatient and outpatient mental health services at its medical centers and community-based outpatient clinics. Demand for these services is high, and advanced software helps the VA ensure every veteran gets the help they need.    

To support this mission DSS, Inc. is proud to announce the VA has renewed its license for Mental Health Suite (MHS). MHS provides the visibility needed to ensure each patient has one efficient and interdisciplinary treatment plan. MHS is a Windows-based Graphical User Interface (GUI) designed to integrate with Veterans Information Systems and Technology Architecture (VistA) and Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS).

MHS serves as an integrated multi/intra-disciplinary documentation tool to create, update, and close treatment plans. The application allows treatment teams to collaborate and monitor patient care and case management referral to other service providers. It provides a continuous flow of documentation, enabling all providers to easily view historical patient care and improve patient outcomes.

MHS is used for creating, updating and closing treatment plans, and enabling care teams to collaborate to ensure provider compliance with regulatory guidelines. The VA has used DSS’ Mental Health Treatment Planner (MHTP) since 2005, and the first nation-wide contract for MHS was signed in 2010. MHS 5.0 offers streamlined navigation based on VA workflows and faster load times.
